The Institute of Urdu Language and Literature, Punjab University, organized an international online lecture on 12 December 2025 where Dr. Arzu Çiftçi-Süren from Istanbul University delivered a talk on "Urdu Travelogues of Ottoman Turkey".

A large number of faculty members and students participated in the lecture. The program was moderated by Sajid Siddiq Nazami.
At the end of the session, Dr. Baseera Ambreen, Director of the Institute, expressed her gratitude to the guest speaker, Dr. Arzu Çiftçi-Süren, and hoped that this lecture would open new avenues for research in the field of Urdu language and literature.
This international collaboration is a significant part of the Institute of Urdu Language and Literature's efforts to promote Urdu language and literature globally.
